    Please include a Cover Letter (state your preference for face-to-face or online teaching as well as the program you are interested in teaching for), a current Curriculum Vitae, and a list of names and contact information for three professional references. When applying for part-time adjunct faculty, you are submitting your application to the School of Construction and Design (on-ground or online) adjunct faculty pool. We will accept applications on a continuing basis. There may or may not be a hiring need at this time in your area of interest.     Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. The University will not sponsor applicants for work visas (e.g., H-1B).

    Job Summary

    The School of Construction and Design at the University of Southern Mississippi invites applications to establish a pool of qualified applicants for current and future part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments (online and/or face-to-face). Successful applicants may teach up to six semester credit hours (2 courses per semester) of undergraduate courses in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering Technology, or Interior Design online or face-to-face on our Hattiesburg, MS campus.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    Teach assigned undergraduate courses, including:

    + Preparing course syllabus, lectures, assignments, and other course components as necessary.

    + Using Canvas to manage the course.

    + Utilizing effective teaching methods to ensure that all course outcomes are met.

    + Timely evaluation of student work with constructive feedback, and assignment of grades.

    + Being available to students for Q&A.

    + Submission of course assessments to the Program Coordinator for accreditation purposes.
