About the Role & Team
Join our Facility Shared Services Manufacturing Planning Team and help maintain the magic behind the scenes. As the Planner/Scheduler I, you will oversee assigned strategic Planning and Scheduling responsibilities that keep our operations running smoothly. This role offers opportunities to work with advanced systems, collaborate with vendors, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience at the resort.
You will report to the Planning Manager - Facility Shared Services.
What You Will Do:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for all Manufacturing Planning shops and Production Control responsibilities.
+ You will collaborate with external vendors to evaluate quotes and pricing while ensuring the timelyissuance of purchase orders for manufactured parts.
+ You will provide regular updates on the status of open orders while aligning with the resort’s financial goals.
+ You will create detailed schedules, considering labor and equipmentutilizationand the preventative maintenance objective
+ Provide strategic and detailed planning, scheduling, and materials control to support Facilities and Operations Services Planning.
+ MaintainAsset, Job Plan, and Preventive Maintenance records in the Maximo EAM/CMMS system; support compliance and show quality standards.
+ Prepare and publish comprehensive forecasted schedules, working with supported teams to ensure labor and materialsare available.
+ Coordinate activities with Resort partners (e.g., Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), Manufacturing, Distribution Services, Transportation, Operations, Safety, Engineering, Training, and Systems Teams).
+ Translate Engineering Services, Engineering, craft communication into work instructions and job plans.
+ Support strategic planning for long-term downtimes or rehabs.
+ Participatein audits to ensure documentation and execution against standards.
+ Implement processes to enhance theefficiencyof work execution.
+ Present recommendations to customers and peers.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ One or more years of proven experience with concise technical writing in an academic or work environment.
+ Demonstratedproficiencywith Microsoft Application Suite.
+ Proficient in standard software programs and mobile electronic devices.
+ Demonstratedproficiencyin interpreting drawings.
+ Well-defined organizational tactics to balance time according to priority.
+ Demonstrated proofreading skills.
+ Diagnostic and evaluation skills with the ability to remove obstacles.
+ Ability to combine various sources of information and analysis into a cohesive story and actionable recommendation.
+ Willing to work evenings, holidays, weekends, and varying shifts, including 3rd shift and working extended hours to complete time-sensitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience Planning Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Projects.
+ Experience with EAM/CMMSsystems.
+ Experience with Analytical/Reporting tools, such as Business Objects, Cognos, Birt, or similar.
+ Demonstratedproficiencywith scheduling solutions, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and PrometheusAkWirevScheduler.
+ Experience with Materials Management.
+ Experience building and presenting a compelling story (business case) tofacilitatedecision-oriented discussions.
+ Experience in Facilities Systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning HVAC, plumbing, electrical, kitchen appliance) is a plus.
+ APICS CPIM certification is a plus.
Education:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
Preferred** **Education:
+ Advanced Degree or equivalent years of experience.

The hiring range for this position in California is $71,700 - $87,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
