At Disney Experiences Technology (DXT), our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club.
We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all DXT initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the Product Design & Creative organization within DXT for Disney Experiences. It works closely with Cast-facing services and experiences teams from across DXT. The Manager, User Experience Design will report to the Sr. Manager, User Experience Design.
As the Manager of UX Design for Cast-Facing Applications, you will lead a team of talented UX designers dedicated to creating magical, seamless, and efficient digital experiences for our Cast Members. Your team will focus on internal tools that support day-to-day operations across Disney Experiences (DX), ensuring that every interaction is intuitive, empowering, and aligned with our commitment to excellence in storytelling and service.
What You'll Do** **:
+ Lead team members in the practice of design, providing craft and career mentorship and feedback to advance their craft at all stages of the design process, including concept sketches, wireframes, compositions, prototypes, digital art, and design specifications
+ Oversee resource allocations for the team, ensure accurate billing processes, and contribute to forecasting and accrual processes to maintain financial integrity and support organizational objectives
+ Engage in estimation and planning across the organization, voicing recommendations, feedback, and solutions from a technical perspective, aligning to the overall project goals to deliver on-time & in-scope
+ Proactively track and assess design trends and emerging technologies across the industry to inform strategic decision-making and recommendations
+ Identify and resolve team and project issues, employing sound judgment and business acumen, and coaching to resolve problems within the team and with direct partners.
+ Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with team members and cross- functional partners at all levels to drive strategy, collaboration, and innovation
Required Qualifications & Skills:
+ Minimum 8 years of related work experience
+ Excellent communication and leadership abilities, to ensure effective growth and development of team
+ A leader that people choose to follow; someone who motivates and challenges their teams – and self, to deliver the very best in everything they do while sparking the creativity of the teams around them
+ Someone who enables an inclusive culture that recognizes a diverse group of backgrounds, points of view, and cultural histories to fuel innovation and belonging
+ Comfortable working and leading in an agile environment
+ Experience across multiple areas of business with the ability to lead projects and strategic development across different lines of business
