Special Education Teacher – $40/hr – Milwaukee, WI

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in grades K–12 within a large private school system. This role involves planning and implementing individualized education programs, delivering specialized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to ensure student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Milwaukee, WI (Multiple campuses in Northwest Milwaukee and Racine areas)

+ Start Date: December 22, 2025

+ End Date: End of 2025–2026 School Year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

+ Hours: 40 hours/week guaranteed

+ Duration: 6 months (with potential for long-term placement)

+ Pay Rate: $40/hour (up to $45/hour based on experience)

+ Caseload: Approximately 14 students

+ Modality: In-person

Responsibilities:

+ Provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs

+ Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

+ Collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams

+ Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines

+ Document student progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (required)

+ Valid state teaching certificate (Special Education preferred)

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

+ Previous teaching experience preferred; urban education experience a plus

+ Current CPR, TB questionnaire, and health certificate if applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Wauwatosa area

+ Racine area
