Job Description: School Psychologist
Position Overview The School Psychologist plays a vital role in promoting student well-being and academic success. This position provides comprehensive psychological services to students, addressing a wide range of mental health, behavioral, and developmental needs. The School Psychologist also assists in identifying students who may require specialized support services and ensures compliance with state and district guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
+ Deliver on-site psychological assessments, interventions, and counseling to students.
+ Support students in overcoming emotional, social, and developmental challenges that impact learning.
+ Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to develop individualized education and support plans.
+ Assist in qualifying students for additional services and programs as required by state and district regulations.
+ Uphold professional standards of practice and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
Minimum Requirements
+ Current state licensure and/or certification in psychology (as required by assignment).
+ Master’s degree in psychology preferred.
+ Prior experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations preferred.
+ Compliance with all applicable professional standards and ethical guidelines.
+ Current CPR certification, if required.
+ Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray, as applicable.
+ Current health certificate, per contract or state regulation.
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
