Requires 3 days per week, onsite.
Summary: Assists with the development, management and performance of the relevant Clinical Information System.
Assists in the daily routine maintenance of the system and coordinates with IS, vendors, management and clinicians in an effort to use the full potential of the system to meet the needs of end users. Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily routine maintenance of the relevant clinical information system.
Assist in coordinating and monitoring the implementation and utilization of the system to ensure the system works efficiently and according to design.
Supports and troubleshoots all computer/software related needs at the request of management.
Provides ongoing and ad hoc training and education support for new employees May act as liaison with IS security for new users.
Coordinates design, build and implementation of routine database/software modifications.
Assist in performance of necessary system upgrades.
Collaborates with Information Service and Change Management to maintain system integrity.
Supports emerging technology and periodically reevaluates to incorporate new technology with existing system.
Assist in design of programs and reports in support of organizational performance improvement.
Assures manual and automated reports are developed and generated to meet needs of users.
Provide 24 x 7 on-call support as required. Adhere to IS Business Practices and Project Methodology. (Not a requirement for Risk Dept)Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:A comprehensive working knowledge of automated spreadsheets, report writing, databases and statistical graphics is required.Must be able to communicate effectively.Must have a general understanding of logic relating to computer applications and be able to access and utilize information from other hospital information systems.Must develop an understanding of hospital policies and procedures relating to system application and Information System security.Must be able to work 24 hours, 7 days/week on-call as required. (Not a requirement for Risk Dept)In addition, the following experience is required for each clinical area:LIS: Minimum of 5 years clinical Lab experience with one year of laboratory IS experience.Knowledgeable about computerized LIS and personal computers. (Current registration as MT or equivalent preferred).Cardiovascular: Minimum 2 years closely related job experience.Experience with HIS systems, OAS Tools, and other hospital systems.
Risk: Experience with RL Datix (or similar software) in a healthcare setting preferred.Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in business administration or information services required.
Annual Salary: $72,992 - $116,601
The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
