The Imaging Services department at Union Health is looking for an IR Tech Specialist for the Terre Haute campus. The Imaging team consists of Xray, CT, MRI, General Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. As a member of the Union Health Imaging team, you will play an integral role by assuring that services are provided within professional standards and organizational policies to assist patients who lean on the Imaging Services team for answers.

IR Tech Specialist job details:

Essential Job Duties:

+ Responsible for training other staff in Ultrasound and CT biopsy interventional procedures

+ Primary technologist who works directly with the radiologists to coordinate vascular procedures

+ Educates circulator call techs on equipment, supplies, and procedures monthly

+ Provides ongoing education for staff and physicians on equipment and new supplies

+ Contacts vendor reps to arrange education for the department and physician on supplies and equipment

+ Coordinates cases with the surgery department that need anesthesia

+ Assists in precepting new hires for the department

Qualifications:

+ Outpatient Procedural Experience is preferred but not required

+ IR/Cath Lab Experience required

+ Must be adaptable to a fast-paced environment

+ Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and adapt to patient volumes

+ Fast-paced environment

+ Works well with others

+ Team player

License/Certification:

+ BLS certification

+ ISDOH

+ ARRT

Schedule:

+ Day shift hours (hours could be subject to change to meet the needs of this department) 8 or 10 hour shifts available.

+ Department hours are 630am-5pm, dept is on call after normal business hours.

+ Sat/Sun- On Call

+ On Call Hours Rotation
