    SEEKING Maintenance II - Bellingham, MA

     

    GREAT SCHEDULES!

     

    + 5 days' workweek schedule

    + Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday

    + Starts at 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

    Position Overview:

    This position reports to the Operations Supervisor and will be responsible for damages, cleanouts, and general housekeeping within the warehouse.Position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas). This position may be filled as a Maintenance I, Maintenance II, Maintenance III or Maintenance Lead.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure that the floor is kept clear of any debris that would hinder the selecting process.

    + Clean out company trailers; remove empty pallets/crates and organize them for pickup.

    + Follow all safety rules and complete all assigned duties.

    + Safely operate all equipment required for tasks associated with the role.

    + Operate fork trucks, clamp trucks, floor scrubbers, battery‑changing stations, and ride‑on/walk‑behind pallet jacks safely.

    + Maintain company standards for safety, attendance, and conduct.

    + Use proper and safe lifting techniques at all times.

    + Perform daily safety inspections on material‑handling equipment.

    + Immediately notify a supervisor of any unsafe conditions or accidents.

    + Clean up spills or breakages of inventoried product; recoup damages and determine whether items are resalable or must be disposed of per government and NDCP food‑safety requirements.

    + Assist in orderly warehouse maintenance and housekeeping ; may perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

    + Use a headset system to locate individual items within the warehouse.

    + Attend all required company meetings .

    + Follow NDCP’s Good Distribution Practices at all times.

    + Cross‑train in other functions and perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + One year of prior experience in a physically demanding role required. One year of warehouse or maintenance experience preferred

    + Must be able to stand for 10 hours

    + Ability to repeatedly lift up to 55lbs

    + Ability to work a flexible schedule

    + Dependable attendance and great customer service

    + Must be able to obtain certification in Crown certificate program

    + Basic computer skills

    + Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-warp product

    + Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (fork lift, pallet jack, high lift)

    + Attention to detail

    + Excellent communication skills
