Job Description
Role: Human Resource Business Partner
Job Summary: Reporting to plant HR leadership, the successful candidate will provide daily operational HR support to site employees, leadership, and HR management. This includes data collection and maintenance, communication distribution, payroll support, hourly recruitment, on-site training, and policy and benefits administration.

Job Responsibilities• Assist HR leadership in HR communications, program and policy rollout, and tracking training and compliance requirements• Manage daily employee inquiries, prepare official correspondence, and address questions concerning compensation, benefits, policies, and other employment-related matters• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations• Support the implementation of HR policies and ensure adherence through consistent interpretation and enforcement of established procedures• Coordinate the recruitment process for hourly positions, including interviewing and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates; collaborate closely with departmental managers to assess required skills and competencies• Conduct or coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and employee eligibility verifications• Conduct thorough new employee orientations to facilitate a seamless onboarding process• Partner effectively with Payroll, Benefits Team, and Managers/Supervisors to oversee leave of absence and return-to-work procedures, ensuring compliance and preparing necessary documentation• Actively contribute to and participate in Group HR projects as required• Assist in organizing and executing engagement and wellness initiatives, recognition events, and company social events and activities• Maintain strict confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
Qualifications• HR diploma or certificate• Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR administration• Minimum 1 year of hands-on payroll support experience• Experience in a manufacturing unionized environment preferred• Familiarity with local laws and regulations concerning employment standards, human rights, and health and safety• Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite• Manual dexterity and attention to detail• Fluent in verbal and written English• Ability to follow direction and specific instructions• Good communication skills• Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis• Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces• Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
