    The ITW GSE Division is an industry leading manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to the aviation industry.

     

    Core customers are Airports and Airlines in all countries around the World.

     

    Core products are Power Supply Units for aircraft parked on the ground.

    Organizationally ITW GSE is part of the Specialty Products Segment of Illinois Tool Works (ITW).

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Responsible for security and general upkeep of facility, machinery and grounds.

    + Manages and monitors vendors associated with machinery, facility and maintenance

    + Inspects buildings and other structures (fuel station) to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair

    + Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment, ensures properly running order and troubleshoots as needed.

    + Using ITW Toolbox, is involved in special projects ie. Facility layout and redesign, Inlining, changes to production floor

    + Service/ repair production equipment, air lines and fittings, bracketry, hose reels.

    + Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall

    + Switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords,

    + etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.

    + Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).

    + Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).

    + Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment

    + Order parts and maintain required documents/expenses.

    + Active and integral member of safety team

    + Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

    QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Professional Experience – Minimum five-year experience managing facility aspects of manufacturing operation.

    + Functional Experience – Well versed in technical maintenance of machines, advanced handyman abilities, vendor management and negotiation

    + Industry Experience – Manufacturing industry preferred

    + Language – English

    + Education – High school diploma

    + Physical- Must be able to lift 50 libs.
