Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a packaging engineer to provide consulting services for rocket nozzle packaging.

This individual will be responsible for re-designing packaging to make it more cost effective and sustainable.

-They will engineer a lower‑cost, environmentally conscious, disposable or reusable packaging solution suitable for repeated shipments across the US.

-This individual will be self-driven and must be able to explain their work to non-engineering teams.

-Must be comfortable working individually with little guidance.

-Document design changes and clearly communicate findings to non‑engineering stakeholders.

-Must be experienced in safety, transportation, and stabilization of shipping & packaging.

-Will be responsible for cost-optimization, material reduction, and creating more sustainable solutions.

Skills and Requirements

- Experience in industrial packaging engineering & design

- Teamcenter experience

- Strong communicator, with ability to explain solutions to non-engineering teams

- Background in transportation safety standards, shock and vibration mitigation, and large‑format packaging stabilization.

-Comfortable managing requirements and creating structure

-Understanding of transportation safety, stabilization, vibration protection, and aerospace‑grade materials handling. -Bachelor's Degree
