    Job Description

    An employer in Gallatin, TN is looking for a permanent direct-hire Controls Engineering Manager to join their growing team for a 100% on-site role. This Controls Engineering Manager oversees projects from concept to completion, ensuring operational workloads are managed efficiently. This role leads a team of engineers, driving execution while maintaining technical oversight to bridge gaps in programming or design when needed. Responsibilities include defining project scope, estimating hours, arranging manpower, and coordinating resources to meet deadlines. While managing current operations, this individual demonstrates leadership qualities to step into a future Director of Operations role. Technical expertise spans control panels, industrial robots, PLCs, HMIs/SCADA, field wiring, and device-level networks, with proficiency in platforms such as Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Rockwell/AB, Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc, GE, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 4-year degree in within engineering - Mechatronics/Electrical preferred

     

    - 10+ years of experience - (controls design + programming experience) + (managing team of engineers/technicians)

    - Ability to handle control operations side:

    - Scope of work, estimation, hours needed, manpower needed, etc

    - Equipment Type experience with the following:

    - Control panels, industrial robots, PLC, HMI/SCADA, Field wiring, Device level networks, etc

    - Equipment Platforms experience with the following:

    Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Rockwell/AB, Siemens, Omron, Toyopuc, GE, AutoCAD, MS Office - Mechatronics Degree

     

    - Automotive background

     

    Experience coming from the integrator side as opposed to customer side
