Job Description

Create, update, and maintain 2D CAD drawings, schematics, and technical documents for attractions, facilities, and show systems.

Draft plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings based on field measurements, design notes, and engineering specifications.

Support new construction, renovation, and maintenance projects by producing accurate as‑built drawings.

Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, project managers, and field teams to interpret project requirements and translate them into clear technical drawings.

Ensure drawings meet Universal Studios Hollywood drafting standards, safety requirements, and industry codes.

Participate in site visits and field verification as needed.

Maintain organized documentation, drawing files, and version control within the team’s CAD database.

Assist in preparing drawing packages for permitting, fabrication, installation, and vendor coordination.

Provide quick‑turn drafting support for urgent operational needs and attraction downtime recovery.

Skills and Requirements

5+ Years Experience as a drafter or designer building 2D models

Strong understanding and ability to reverse engineer parts

Experience with Solidworks, geometric designX or AutoCAD

Strong attention to detail for documentation purposes
