    Job Description

    1. Switch Deployment & Configuration

    • Rack and stack Arista switches.

    • Configure interfaces, VLANs, routing protocols, and multicast settings.

    • Validate connectivity and performance post-deployment.

    2. Multicast Design & Troubleshooting

    • Design multicast routing topology.

    • Configure PIM and IGMP snooping on switches.

    • Troubleshoot multicast issues (e.g., packet loss, group join failures).

    3. Automation & Documentation

    • Use automation tools to streamline switch configuration and updates.

    • Maintain detailed network diagrams and configuration documentation.

    • Write scripts for monitoring or provisioning tasks.

    4. Collaboration & Support

    • Work with network architects and application teams to support multicast-dependent services (e.g., video streaming, financial trading platforms).

    • Provide Tier 3 support for escalated network issues.

    • Participate in change management and network upgrade planning.

    Skills and Requirements

    1. Multicast Networking Expertise

    • Deep understanding of multicast protocols: IGMP, PIM (Sparse/Dense Mode), MSDP, MBGP.

    • Experience designing and troubleshooting multicast routing in enterprise or service provider environments.

    • Familiarity with multicast traffic flows, group management, and performance tuning.

    2. Arista Switch Implementation

    • Hands-on experience with Arista EOS (Extensible Operating System).

    • Configuration and deployment of Arista switches in data center or campus environments.

    • Automation using Arista’s CloudVision, eAPI, or Ansible/Python scripting.

    3. General Networking

    • Strong grasp of Layer 2/3 networking concepts.

    • VLANs, STP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), QoS, ACLs.

    • Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SNMP, NetFlow).
