    Job Description

    Insight Global is looking to hire a Technical Writer to support a newly awarded defense contract in Washington DC. This person’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation including System Design Documents (SDD), Interface Design Descriptions (IDD), Test Plans and Reports, User Manuals, Installation Packages (IP), Software Version Description (SVD).

     

    Collaborate with technical team members include software engineers, system engineers, and testers to gather information

     

    Establish and maintain configuration management (CM) processes for software, databases, systems, and other aspects of the infrastructure.

     

    Ensure all documents meet DOD 508 accessibility standards.

     

    Support the ATO process, ensuring security documentation remains up to date.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Clearance: Active Secret

     

    3+ years of experience in technical writing for software programs supporting the DOD

     

    Familiar with DOD standards and compliance including: NIST 800-53, STIG Requirements, eMASS reporting, etc.

     

    Proficient in documentation tools like Microsoft Project, DoD365 Teams, Git, etc.

     

    Ability to show proof of previous writing samples.
