Job Description

As a Billing Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end medical billing process for multiple hospitals, facilities, and clients. Your role will involve entering and verifying patient and insurance information, coding procedures accurately, and submitting claims. You will follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with payer requirements. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain accurate records and support the acquisition transition. This position requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with medical billing systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Other responsibilities include:

•Data Verification: Reviewing and verifying billing data to ensure consistency and accuracy.

•Accounts Receivable: Managing accounts receivable, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.

•Discrepancy Resolution: Handling customer inquiries and resolving billing discrepancies promptly.

•Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate billing information.

•Payment Processing: Processing and posting payments received.

•Insurance Claims: Assisting in the preparation and submission of insurance claims to various carriers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

•Compliance: Staying updated on changes in billing regulations and insurance practices.

•System Updates: Maintaining and updating customer billing records in the system.

•Client Communication: Communicating with clients to discuss account balances and payment arrangements.

Skills and Requirements

-Medical Billing or Pro Fee billing Experience

-Familiarity with claims processing or CPC certification

-Onsite Requirement: Must work hybrid onsite in Pawtucket, RI, 3 days per week

-Schedule: 8am-5pm EST

-HS diploma
