    Job Description

    Insight Global is partnering with a leading medical device design and manufacturing organization to hire a PCBA Category Manager. This individual will oversee sourcing activities for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), managing quoting cycles, supplier interactions, and cross‑functional communication with Sales, Program Management, and Operations. This role is essential to supporting ongoing new product transfers, evaluating supplier capabilities, and ensuring competitive pricing and lead times within the supply base.

     

    The ideal candidate is someone who operates confidently in a fast‑moving environment, communicates effectively across teams, and brings hands‑on knowledge of the PCBA landscape. This position requires a high level of independence, strong supplier management skills, and the ability to step in immediately without requiring training on PCBA fundamentals. It is a high‑impact opportunity with visibility across purchasing, operations, and leadership.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of experience working with PCBA

     

    - Background as a Category Manager/Supervisor within PCBA or board‑related operations

     

    - Ability to run quoting cycles, manage pricing discussions, and negotiate with suppliers

     

    - Strong cross‑functional communication

     

    - Proven ability to multitask and manage and lead program‑level responsibilities independently

     

    - Experience handling challenges within the PCBA supply chain and driving resolutions - Sourcing or procurement experience

     

    - Strong negotiation capability with cost‑driven mindset

     

    - Exposure to international suppliers or global supply chains
