    Job Description

    • Spend 95% of time maintaining and optimizing Snowflake environment.

    • Monitor and troubleshoot DBT pipelines and ensure smooth data flow.

    • Manage file ingestion from S3 buckets into Snowflake.

    • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and data processing.

    • Use GitHub for code versioning and collaboration.

    • Ensure system reliability and performance (“keep the lights on”).

    • Begin planning and preparing for migration to Azure (kickoff in approximately 6 months).

    Skills and Requirements

    • 7+ years of experience in data engineering across any of the following:

    o Snowflake (maintenance, optimization, troubleshooting)

    o Azure Data Engineering (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)

    o SQL development

    • Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.

    • Hands-on experience with:

     

    o DBT for pipeline management

     

    o S3 buckets for file ingestion

     

    o Python for automation and scripting

     

    o GitHub for version control and collaboration • Prior experience with cloud migration projects, especially Snowflake to Azure.

     

    • Familiarity with ETL frameworks and data governance/security.

    • Knowledge of Azure architecture and best practices.
