    Job Description

    A clietnt is building a new Portfolio Financing function and are seeking a junior analyst to support the build out of a repository for daily financing operations across long and short positions. This role focuses heavily on broker communication, data gathering, and ensuring our trading teams have access to market rates.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the build out of the portfolio financing workflow, including underlying logic and standardized broker files.

    • Communicate daily with 40–50 brokers to gather rates, availability, and required data.

    • Identify the correct contacts and language needed to efficiently manage financing requests.

    • Pull, validate, and organize financing data to ensure complete and accurate inputs from brokers.

    • Ensure the function has accurate rates for long and short positions.

    • Assist with FX exposure checks and ensure data is in place to support hedging and capital efficiency efforts.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Exposure or background in securities financing, prime brokerage, trading operations, or market structure.

     

    - Strong organizational and communication skills, especially when dealing with external brokers.

     

    - Comfort working with financial data, spreadsheets, and rate files.

     

    - Understanding of long/short trading concepts and locate processes is a plus.

     

    - Ability to work in an unstructured environment and help build new processes from scratch.
