Position Overview
The Program Director will lead the Community Resources for Employment and Development (CRED NYC) trades training programs within the College and Career Services division. This role is responsible for overseeing program operations and ensuring high-quality service delivery for young adults ages 18–30 who have been directly impacted by the justice system or reside in high-crime communities.
The Program Director will guide community engagement, program management, and workforce development efforts with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and client-centered outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Management & Development
+ Oversee day-to-day operations of the CRED NYC trades training programs, ensuring excellence in service delivery and participant outcomes
+ Develop and implement program curricula, workshops, and activities aligned with participant needs
+ Monitor program performance using QCH’s Salesforce data system and implement improvements as needed
Staff Supervision & Development
+ Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including trainers and a job developer
+ Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance support
+ Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Participant Support & Engagement
+ Ensure participants receive individualized support, including academic counseling, postsecondary planning, and soft-skills development
+ Promote a positive, inclusive, and trauma-informed program environment
+ Support participant engagement, retention, and success
Collaboration & Partnerships
+ Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, employers, and workforce stakeholders
+ Expand internship, apprenticeship, and career placement opportunities
+ Conduct quarterly site visits to evaluate internship placements
Administrative & Compliance Duties
+ Track program metrics and outcomes using Salesforce and other reporting tools
+ Ensure compliance with QCH and DYCD funder requirements, including accurate and timely reporting
+ Achieve key program benchmarks:
+ 100% participant enrollment
+ 70% credential course completion
+ 100% job placement rate
+ Maintain adherence to organizational policies and program standards
Additional Responsibilities
+ Participate in QCH meetings, trainings, and organizational events
+ Perform other duties as assigned in support of program and organizational goals
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in social work, education, public administration, workforce development, or a related field preferred
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce development, youth/young adult programming, or related human services field
+ At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
+ Experience working with justice-involved populations or individuals from historically marginalized communities strongly preferred
+ Proficiency with data tracking systems (Salesforce preferred)
+ Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and partnership-building skills
+ Commitment to equity, inclusion, and strengths-based, client-centered practices
