Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Operator Assistant with heavy industrial experience. The role involves utilizing computers to document production completion and ensuring the correct raw materials are loaded onto the line. You will perform quality checks with micrometers and calipers, package tubing, verify products coming off the line, and assist with changeovers. The role also requires operating a sit-down forklift and an overhead crane to load products onto the line.

Responsibilities

+ Utilize a computer to document production completion.

+ Ensure correct raw materials are loaded onto the production line.

+ Perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers.

+ Package tubing and verify product quality.

+ Bundle and band products, and properly identify and tag completed products.

+ Assist with production line changeovers.

+ Operate a sit-down forklift and overhead crane to load products onto the line.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in warehousing, stocking, or a manufacturing/industrial environment.

+ Strong math ability.

+ Heavy industrial experience.

+ Proficiency in machine operation and use of micrometers, calipers, and banding tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.

+ Experience in heavy industrial forklift operation.

Work Environment

Work in a collaborative environment where teamwork is essential to achieving production goals. The facility is a tube mill with a dark, industrial atmosphere, requiring safety gear such as metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. Expect to work 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays.
