    Job Title: Welder - TIG and Brazing Specialist** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, specializing in TIG welding and brazing. This role involves operating various welding, soldering, brazing, and electron beam equipment to perform repairs and fabrications. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering on R&D projects and prototype welding.

    Responsibilities

    + Layout work requirements and obtain necessary equipment for routine repair and alteration operations.

    + Inspect welds for bead size and compliance with specifications.

    + Blend, grind, or polish welds to meet specified minimum wall requirements.

    + Collaborate with Engineering on new R&D projects and work with Redline Drawings.

    + Engage in prototype welding projects, which will comprise 50% of the job at times.

    + Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure repaired parts and ensure dimensional accuracy.

    + Complete production paperwork and sign work orders identifying operations performed.

    + Perform standard hand and machine welding operations to fabricate or restore parts and tools.

    + Build up finished machined surfaces and repair simple cracks and other routine imperfections.

    + Use a variety of measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.

    + Recognize the need for and arrange repairs or replacement of equipment as necessary.

    + Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and checklists.

    + Assist others with new process tryouts and specialized assignments.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent or 2+ years of relevant experience.

    + Proficiency in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel and Steel.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints and process sheets.

    + Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + TIG Welding Certificate Level 1 (GTAW Stainless Steel), required.

    + Experience in the manufacturing or aviation industry is preferred.

    + Associate's Degree in Welding is a plus.

    Work Environment

    The role involves welding and brazing pipe connections for portable heating/cooling units. The work schedule follows a 9/80 pattern, with hours from 6am to 3:30pm. Week 1 consists of 45 hours over five 9-hour days, and Week 2 includes 35 hours with one 8-hour day every other Friday. The role requires physical activities such as bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anaheim, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
