Hiring for CNC Programmer and Operator in Piedmont, SC Pays up to $35/hr!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer and Operator to set up and run various CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to complete parts to specified dimensional requirements. The role requires loading machine control data, operating machines in manual mode, and making necessary adjustments during the machining cycle.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes.

+ Load machine control data or parameters and make required control settings.

+ Operate machines in manual mode to make unprogrammed changes based on direct measurements.

+ Enter dimensional data into the numerical control console for short run jobs or during machining cycles.

+ Perform rework operations similar to initial setups.

+ Select and recommend appropriate cutting tools for tasks.

+ Grind, sharpen, and maintain cutting tools as needed.

+ Assist and instruct other numerical control machine operators.

+ Write complex programs and understand machine functions.

+ Adjust and troubleshoot machines as needed.

+ Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections of close tolerance-machined and formed parts.

+ Perform CNC Tube Bending utilizing blueprint requirements and specifications.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in CNC Programming and operation of CNC mills and lathes.

+ Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.

+ Strong skills in set up, changeover, teardown, and programming of CNC machines.

+ Expertise with Mastercam and Solidworks.

+ Knowledge of Gd&t, Cmm, Axis, and programming CNC systems.

+ Experience with Fanuc, Haas, and tooling setup.

+ Ability to write and understand complex G code.

+ Ability to perform development and prototype machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Cmm programming.

+ Familiarity with CNC tube bending processes.

+ Experience in assisting and instructing other operators is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled environment with a schedule from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piedmont, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
