Job Title: Yard Associate - Scaffolding Team** **Job Description

Join our team as a Yard Associate, where you will begin by supporting our scaffolding operations and have the opportunity to transition to traveling to various job sites to set up scaffolds. This role involves stationing and retrieving equipment, sorting scaffold materials, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks for carpenters and foremen. After an initial period, you will take on responsibilities at different job sites, building and dismantling scaffolding while working outdoors.

Responsibilities

+ Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property.

+ Sort scaffold materials in the yard and assist with loading and unloading trucks.

+ Take inventory of materials in the yard.

+ Set up job sites in the morning and build/erect scaffolding.

+ Move materials around the site and assist the foreman with other duties.

+ Travel across the Charlotte area to various job sites.

+ Help dismantle scaffolding builds.

+ Utilize a hammer to build scaffolds and work outdoors.

+ Load company trucks and assist with the building and dismantling of rented units.

+ Wear a harness for heights up to 10 feet and receive certification for higher work after 90 days.

+ Aim to become a certified scaffold carpenter for career advancement.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in general labor and production.

+ Proficiency with hand tools.

+ Capability to perform heavy lifting.

+ Ability to work outdoors in construction environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in carpentry, framing, landscaping, or demolition is advantageous.

+ Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with commercial construction.

+ Ability to use a tape measure and roofing skills.

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors on construction sites at our largest Sunbelt Scaffolding location, featuring a very open yard facility. The location spans up to 70,000 square feet with a two-story indoor facility, break rooms, water coolers, and vending machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
