    Job Description

    This role involves overseeing the night trades crew during a Meijer Remodel. The foreman will receive a daily checklist from the superintendent and must ensure that all tasks are completed. If any tasks are not completed, the foreman will document the reasons in a shift report for discussion or to leave for the superintendent. The foreman is responsible for ensuring that contractors complete their work, rather than performing the work themselves.

     

    **Schedule:** Sun - Thursday 10p-6a 40 hours per week.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee the night trades crew during the Meijer Remodel.

    + Receive and follow up on a daily checklist left by the superintendent.

    + Ensure all tasks on the checklist are completed.

    + Document reasons for any incomplete tasks in a shift report.

    + Communicate effectively with the superintendent and crew.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to supervise and ensure task completion.

    + Basic computer skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in construction and general labor is a plus.

    + Previous supervision experience is advantageous.

    + Familiarity with carpentry and use of hand tools is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    The foreman will work from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, for a total of 40 hours per week. The work takes place in a remodel setting at a Carmel Meijer operation. The dress code is jeans without holes, comfortable construction shoes, and a provided Siwek Construction shirt. Expect to be on your feet walking around most of the night.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
