    Plumber (Swing Shift)

    **Location:** Fremont, CA

    **Pay:** $35 – $40/hr

    **Shift:** Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – Midnight (Open to 6 days/week and weekends as needed)

     

    About the Role

     

    We’re looking for an experienced **Plumber** to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plumbing systems across multiple facilities. This role involves hands-on work with water heaters, boilers, toilet systems, and air compressors, requiring strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as you’ll also assist with broader facilities maintenance when needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Install, maintain, and repair water heaters, boilers, and piping systems.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot toilet systems to ensure compliance with building codes.

    + Service and maintain air compressors and related plumbing connections.

    + Perform routine inspections and recommend preventive maintenance solutions.

    + Collaborate with facilities engineers and maintenance staff to maintain high performance.

    + Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

    + Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

    + Assist with other facilities maintenance tasks as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 3–5 years of plumbing experience in industrial, commercial, or facilities settings.

    + Strong knowledge of boiler systems, water heaters, and compressed air systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

    + Excellent troubleshooting skills and proactive problem-solving mindset.

    + Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and environmental regulations.

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with general facilities maintenance (mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting).

    + Preventive maintenance and repair experience.

    Work Environment

     

    This role supports multiple research and development facilities in **Palo Alto, Fremont, and Hayward** . While you’ll have a home location, occasional travel between sites is required. Facilities operate 24/7, and flexibility for weekends and additional shifts is essential. This is a **non-union facility** with casual attire; uniforms are provided for engineers.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
