Job Title: Welder & Fitter
Job Description
Join our team as a Welder & Fitter, where you will be responsible for the structural layout and fitting of steel according to blueprints. You will work on fabricating structural steel projects by performing tact welds to fabricate steel pieces for welders. Your ability to MIG weld structural steel in vertical and horizontal positions is essential. While 3G certification is preferred, we are willing to provide training. You will also handle machining equipment such as plasma cutters, shears, and presses to assist in fabrication. We are looking for a well-rounded candidate familiar with structural steel who can read from blueprints on iPads.
Responsibilities
+ Perform structural layout and fitting of steel based on blueprints.
+ Fabricate structural steel projects, including tact welding pieces.
+ MIG weld structural steel in vertical and horizontal 3G positions.
+ Use machining equipment such as plasma cutters, shears, and presses.
+ Read and interpret blueprints using iPads.
+ Select appropriate wire type and shielding gas for welding.
+ Set up and maintain MIG welding equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 2+ years of experience in laying out, fitting, and fabrication of steel beams or raw materials.
+ Experience in fabrication and familiarization with welding automation.
+ Proficiency in blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation.
+ Tech-savvy with the ability to read prints on an iPad.
+ Understanding of MIG welding equipment setup and maintenance.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of CARLISLE, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
