Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling all machines to ensure on-time deliveries for customers while maintaining the highest rate of production efficiency possible. This role involves providing clear definitions of production demand to Plant leadership for staffing purposes.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate closely with Operations to understand the production workflow and machine capabilities.
+ Participate in the development of detailed, achievable production schedules and measure and report performance against these schedules.
+ Work closely with Sales & Service, Operations, and Vendors to meet customer demand and support sales goals, inventory control, and capacity forecasting.
+ Plan production routing and create production jobs based on customer demand requirements.
+ Coordinate the acquisition and delivery of materials and components as required to support the production floor.
+ Provide accurate promise dates to Service & Sales, track production progress, and proactively communicate to affected internal customers when issues occur.
+ Identify root causes of scheduling problems and implement corrective actions.
+ Participate in regular standard rate reviews and update standards as necessary.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in Production Planning & Scheduling to optimize efficiency.
+ Proficiency in ERP/MRP Systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.
+ Ability to analyze production data, track KPIs, and generate performance reports.
+ Strong understanding of inventory control principles and capacity forecasting.
+ Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Vendors.
+ Proven problem-solving skills to identify and correct scheduling issues.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for proactive updates and coordination.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $75000.00/yr.
