Aerotek is hiring a Maintenance Electrician for a manufacturing facility in Southaven, MS. This is a 6 month contract to hire role offering $35-$42/hr depending on experience. Please apply for immediate consideration.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician with expertise in motors, gearboxes, electrical components, high-speed packaging equipment, fillers, augers, labelers, mixers, conveyors, PLC controls, and robotics controls.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and maintain all assigned equipment.
+ Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments.
+ Dismantle machines for repair using appropriate tools and equipment.
+ Reassemble machines after completing repairs or maintenance work.
+ Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.
+ Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
+ Observe equipment operations to determine efficiency and detect problems.
+ Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas, and advise supervisors on repair needs.
+ Record repair and machine maintenance data accurately.
+ Read work orders and specifications to identify machines requiring repair.
+ Collaborate with coworkers to repair or move machines, parts, and equipment.
+ Monitor work being performed by outside contractors.
+ Comply with all safety policies and procedures when performing maintenance.
+ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and managers.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
+ Ability to prioritize downtime severity quickly.
+ Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts.
+ Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills of PLCs and industrial electricity.
+ Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic processes.
+ Capability to make sound equipment maintenance decisions with minimal direction.
+ Physical ability to push, pull, and lift heavy loads throughout the day.
+ Working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with production staff.
+ Ability to practice diplomacy and tact, with a strong desire to teach and help others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and robotics controls.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and industrial electricity.
+ Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HORN LAKE, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
