    Job Title: CMM Inspector/CMM Operator/QC Inspector** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a CMM Inspector, CMM Operator, or QC Inspector where you will ensure that mission-critical aerospace components meet rigorous customer and industry standards. You will be responsible for dimensional inspection across receiving, in-process, and final/finished goods, utilizing advanced CMM methods and adhering to tight aerospace tolerances. Expect hands-on collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct mechanical inspection of parts.

    + Verify material certifications.

    + Meet productivity and efficiency standards set by the hourly rate of the part.

    + Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and machinists to solve problems in real-time.

    + Assist in identifying and understanding failure modes.

    + Create non-conformance reports.

    + Complete first article inspection reports.

    + Maintain a focus on inspection tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CMM operation and GD&T.

    + Quality inspection and control experience.

    + 3 to 5 years of experience in final inspection, receiving inspection, and in-process inspection.

    + Ability to perform mechanical inspections.

    + Experience with high precision, metal machined parts.

    + Skills in CMM programming, quality assurance, inspection, micrometer, machining, calipers, and data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Programming background is a plus.

    + Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.

    + Ability to complete first article inspection reports to AS9102 standards.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Work Environment

    Work Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10:30pm, with the option for 10-hour days and 6 hours on Saturday if desired. Initial training will occur on first shift from 5am to 1:30pm. Enjoy a $2 shift differential for working on the second shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
