• Responsibilities

+ Perform MIG welding on stainless steel assemblies for sanitary and structural applications

+ Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints and schematics

+ Fabricate pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, tanks, and custom stainless‑steel systems

+ Maintain food‑grade and pharma‑grade weld quality and cleanliness

+ Work independently and in small teams to meet project deadlines

+ Operate fabrication tools: grinders, polishers, cutters, machining tools

+ Participate in occasional on‑site welding and installation

• Essential Skills

+ **3–5+ years** MIG welding experience on stainless steel

+ Ability to pass a **3/8" stainless steel weld test** (corner & butt joints)

+ Hands‑on experience with **food‑grade stainless steel welding**

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Bonus Skills (Not Required)

+ Sanitary TIG welding experience

+ Prior BOCES training

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs

+ Experience grinding & polishing

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMHERST, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
