Job Description

Engage in various production tasks such as sorting, lifting, catching, and packaging tiles while ensuring quality control standards are met. Responsibilities include stacking tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor, cleaning the production line, and preparing and mixing raw materials for ceramic tiles and glazes. Operating production machinery and performing basic assembly tasks are also key components of this role.

Responsibilities

+ Sort, lift, catch, and package tiles while conducting quality inspections.

+ Stack tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor.

+ Clean the production line by sweeping and spraying down with a hose.

+ Prepare and mix raw materials for ceramic tiles and glazes.

+ Operate production machinery and perform basic assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and manufacturing environments.

+ Prior experience in an industrial setting with large machinery and equipment.

+ Ability to solve practical problems using logic and work independently under general supervision.

+ Willingness to get dirty when needed.

+ Demonstrated track record of exceptional attendance, reliability, and performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to count and handle repetitive tasks such as counting and stacking tiles.

+ Physically able to twist, bend, kneel, and crouch frequently.

+ Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Work Environment

Work in a ceramic and glass tile manufacturing facility that houses large, industrial equipment. The building is old and can seem intimidating from the outside, with dusty and dirty conditions inside. The role involves working around kilns, which can get very hot. Face masks are required in areas with high silica levels, and you will be fitted for a respirator. Expect to get dirt and glaze on clothes and be prepared to get wet during line cleaning activities

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
