    Job Title: Packaging Associate** **Job Description

     

    Join a dynamic team in the Paint Department where you will play a crucial role in processing and repackaging paint. Your responsibilities will include handling paint cans, ensuring they are ready for re-labeling, and contributing to a project aimed at enhancing our packaging process.

    Responsibilities

    + Pour paint from full cans into drums or machines for processing.

    + Unpack paint cans from pallets and prepare them for the packaging process.

    + Ensure proper disposal or recycling of empty paint cans.

    + Participate in labeling and repackaging of paint products.

    + Handle 1-gallon and 5-gallon paint cans, lifting up to 50 pounds.

    + Stack empty cans on pallets for disposal or recycling.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in packaging, production, or general labor.

    + Ability to stand for the entire shift.

    + Strong attendance record.

    + Familiarity with assembly, labeling, and packaging line operations.

    + Experience with pallet jack operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a bustling production facility with opportunities to transition from a 2-month project to long-term employment due to business growth. Work hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm on the first shift. The facility is not air-conditioned and there is a noticeable smell of paint and chemicals, which are not hazardous. Safety is a priority, with steel or composite toe shoes required, as well as safety glasses and ear plugs in designated areas. Employees must adhere to a dress code of long pants and no sleeveless shirts, piercings, or jewelry. This role is ideal for those who are comfortable with physical labor and a team-oriented environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
