Job Title: Linen Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Linen Workers. In this role, you will be responsible for distributing linens throughout the hospital, ensuring they are placed in their appropriate locations across various floors. This position requires moving bins that weigh approximately 50 lbs, and you will interact with nursing staff while navigating the hospital.

Responsibilities

+ Distribute linens across multiple floors within the hospital.

+ Ensure all clean linens are placed in their designated spots.

+ Navigate and transport bins weighing up to 50 lbs.

+ Interact professionally with nursing staff.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in janitorial work, general labor, or housekeeping.

+ Material handling proficiency.

+ Strong attendance record.

+ Willingness to learn and adapt.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a warehouse associate or in a cleaning role is a plus.

Work Environment

Work onsite at the VCU hospital with openings at the Main Campus. The schedule is 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with one weekend shift per month. Receive five blue scrub uniforms and wear comfortable sneakers. All new hires participate in an orientation before starting at the hospital.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
