Job Title: Entry level Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our team, specializing in Flux Core Welding on Mild Steel to construct barges. The role involves utilizing MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques, interpreting blueprints, and collaborating effectively within a team under supervision.

Responsibilities

+ Perform Flux Core Welding on Mild Steel for barge construction.

+ Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques as required.

+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

+ Collaborate with team members and work under the guidance of a supervisor.

+ Ensure quality and precision in welding tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

+ Previous welding experience of 3-6 months.

+ Strong team collaboration skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in an outdoor environment, which can be very hot. Safety is a priority, and you are required to wear steel-toed ankle-high leather boots, long sleeves, and pants. Contact lenses are not permitted due to welding smoke.

The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday, **6 am to 3:30 pm** , and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, **3:15 pm to 12:45 am**

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
