    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the warehouse by performing picking and receiving of scientific products. The role requires attention to detail, and a proactive approach to asking questions when needed. You will be responsible for picking orders, labeling shipments, and assisting with receiving products.

     

    1st Shift

     

    $19/hour (with room for growth)

    Responsibilities

    + Pick and receive scientific products in the warehouse, aiming to pick 18 orders per hour.

    + Clean any dirty products before shipment.

    + Spend approximately 70% of the day picking orders using a reach truck and cherry picker with an RF Scan gun.

    + Spend around 20% of the time labeling shipments using UPS and FedEx systems, requiring computer proficiency.

    + Assist with receiving products from trucks, which involves lifting up to 50 lbs approximately three times a day.

    Essential Skills

    + Warehouse experience, ideally in picking.

    + Proficiency with RF scanners.

    + Experience working on computers, particularly in shipping tasks.

    + Experience in a receiving environment.

    + Proficiency in using P.I.T. equipment, including reach trucks and order pickers.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of LTL.

    + Experience with Excel.

    + Flexibility in schedule and willingness to work overtime.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Experience with UPS and FedEx systems.

    The warehouse is divided into three zones, and candidates are expected to learn each zone's responsibilities within three weeks. The environment promotes continuous learning and improvement, where asking questions and engaging with processes is encouraged. Steel-toed boots are required.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
