    Job Title: Licensed Journeyman Electrician

    Job Description

    The Licensed Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical systems for our facility and equipment. This role ensures the functionality and safety of electrical equipment and systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain, repair, and update electrical equipment across the company.

    + Install power sources, wiring, and electrical systems.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues and outages.

    + Complete work orders and maintain accurate records.

    + Diagnose and log issues in electrical circuits, wiring, and power sources.

    + Install and maintain motors, lighting controls, and instrumentation systems.

    + Reset and restart equipment after power failures.

    + Follow NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.

    + Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures for safety compliance.

    + Conduct routine and emergency electrical-mechanical repairs.

    + Monitor and coordinate with contractors on electrical work.

    + Inspect equipment daily to ensure readiness for next use..

    Essential Skills

    + Licensed Journeyman Electrician.

    + Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar position and environment.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues and outages.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.

    + Active Journeyman Electrician License.

    + High school graduate or equivalent.

    + Valid Driver's License (will operate company vehicle).

    + Associate’s degree in an electrical field (preferred – not required).

    + Willingness to be on call for emergency maintenance when brought on permanently.

    Work Environment

    + **Shift:** 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

    + Work is performed both inside and outside, subject to weather conditions.

    + Collaborate with a team of facility maintenance personnel to maintain the tunnel infrastructure.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
