    Job Title: Tooling Technician

    Job Description

    The Tooling Technician is responsible for the repair and return-to-operation of injection molding tools actively engaged in producing quality products. This role involves performing preventive maintenance on injection molds according to procedure and reporting the status to the supervisor.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machining tools and equipment for preventive and corrective maintenance of molds.

    + Perform repairs and tests on injection molds.

    + Conduct inventory of molding tools and parts, reporting status to supervisor.

    + Store and maintain validated and non-validated components.

    + Maintain stock inventories, ensuring proper levels of component parts for tooling repair.

    + Improve efficiency and accuracy of molded products by documenting reasons for mold repairs and solutions.

    + Follow all procedures and training diligently.

    + Maintain excellent attendance.

    + Advise supervisor of recurring production failures for prompt corrective action.

    + Escalate recurring issues through the proper chain of command.

    + Maintain logs of all molds that have undergone preventative maintenance.

    + Ensure machine cleanliness standards are upheld.

    + Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.

    + Comply with company security policy procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in mold repair and tooling.

    + Proficiency in grinding and injection mold maintenance.

    + Knowledge of toolroom operations and blueprint reading.

    + Experience in injection mold repair and preventative maintenance.

    + Manual machining skills.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and machining expertise.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Experience repairing plastic injection molds.

    + Knowledge of machines and tools area.

    + Ability to operate all manual mold shop equipment and machines.

    + Mechanical skills.

    + Detail oriented.

    + Determination and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work well within a team.

    + Responsiveness.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Hanover Park, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.

    Full Benefits Package medical, vision and dental

    PTO 3.07 accruing rate per week. 4 Total weeks 11 paid holidiays 9 fixed - 2 floating 401k & employee stock purchase plan
