Job Title: Batch Maker (Chemical Operator – Level 1 or 2)
**Shift:** 1st Shift — Training: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
**Post‑Training Shift:** Monday–Thursday, 4:30 AM–3:00 PM (Option to keep original hours if needed)
Overview
We are looking for an experienced **Batch Maker/Chemical Operator** to join our 1st‑shift team. Candidates with backgrounds in **food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or other GMP‑regulated environments** are strongly encouraged to apply.
In this role, you’ll review batch sheets, measure and select the proper chemicals, and mix them to exact specifications while ensuring products meet all quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Mixing
+ Review batch sheets and follow correct production procedures.
+ Use proper tanks, mixers, process piping, and preparation steps.
+ Operate mixers, pumps, tanks, valves, and forklifts.
+ Analyze and understand critical parameters across multiple product lines.
Quality & Documentation
+ Track and record production data, including customer orders, work tickets, and specifications.
+ Calculate and document materials used, amounts produced, and any defects.
+ Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials used or discarded.
+ Assist with physical inventory and cycle counts.
Safety & Compliance
+ Demonstrate and promote safe work practices at all times.
+ Maintain RCRA awareness, including proper satellite waste handling, labeling, and storage.
+ Participate in annual RCRA training and follow spill/emergency response procedures.
+ Adhere to all CGMP and FDA requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
+ Previous experience in chemical operations and batch mixing.
+ Knowledge of GMP regulations.
+ Ability to operate sit‑down forklifts, mixers, and blending equipment.
+ Experience with RF scanners and SAP is a plus.
+ Ability to read, write, and understand English.
+ Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Preferred Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing.
+ Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
Work Environment
This position is located in an open production facility governed by CGMP and FDA guidelines. The role requires the use of PPE such as:
+ Safety glasses
+ Safety‑toe footwear
+ Face shields
+ Dust masks
+ Tyvek sleeves, coats, or overalls
+ Respirators
+ Nitrile gloves
Expect frequent walking and standing, exposure to varying temperatures, fumes, noise, and the use of material‑handling equipment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
