    Position Overview

    We are seeking a skilled **Ship Repair Low Voltage Electrician** with an active **Secret Clearance** to support electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting aboard naval submarines. This role requires expertise in low voltage systems, strict adherence to safety and security protocols, and the ability to work in classified environments supporting mission-critical operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems on ships, including:

    + Communication systems (data cabling, intercoms, fiber optics)

    + Security and surveillance systems (CCTV, access control)

    + Fire alarm and life safety systems

    + Conduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment.

    + Document all work performed in compliance with Navy, Coast Guard, and company standards.

    + Collaborate with engineers, shipyard personnel, and other technicians on repair and modernization projects.

    + Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and classified facility requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    + Active **Secret Clearance** (must be current and verifiable).

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

    + 2+ years of experience in shipboard electrical or low voltage systems repair.

    + Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting methods.

    + Ability to work in shipyard and onboard environments, including confined spaces.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience with Navy or Coast Guard ship repair projects.

    + Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and military standards.

    + Certifications such as NICET, BICSI, or equivalent.

    + Familiarity with fiber optic installation and testing.

    This is a Permanent position based out of HONOLULU, HI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
