Job Title: Solar O&M Electrician – Temporary Project

Job Description

Join our team as a Solar Technician for a short-term project focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting Soltec solar tracking systems and general solar site operations. This role requires conducting detailed inspections, identifying issues, and performing mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure efficient solar panel operations.

Responsibilities

+ Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on Soltec solar tracking systems, including diagnostics, motor/driver replacement, adjustments, and calibration.

+ Troubleshoot and repair solar inverters, with a preference for Sungrow experience, along with electrical components, motors, drives, and tracking equipment.

+ Conduct mechanical repairs using torque wrenches, power tools, and precision instruments.

+ Support both routine and non-routine maintenance across plant systems, including HV/MV/LV electrical equipment.

+ Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Essential Skills

+ Hands-on experience with Soltec solar tracking systems maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, including familiarity with industrial electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and diagnostic tools.

+ Ability to work safely and effectively with medium and low voltage equipment.

+ Proficiency in using torque tools and troubleshooting mechanical systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ OSHA 10 Certification

+ Requirement of CAT 2 minimum flame-resistant long-sleeve shirts and pants.

+ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

+ Reliable and safety-focused mindset.

This is a Contract position based out of Kirksville, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.50/hr.
