    Job Title: Electrician - MCC/E-House Wiring

    Job Description

    We are seeking skilled electricians to join our team in wiring skid-mounted E-houses and Motor Control Centers. This role involves installing control panels, transformers, running conduit and cable trays, and terminating wires. Initially, you will receive guidance on reading prints, but you will soon be expected to independently wire units and components. These positions are open-ended contracts with the potential to become long-term and possibly permanent.

    Responsibilities

    + Wire skid-mounted E-houses and Motor Control Centers.

    + Install control panels and transformers.

    + Run conduit and cable trays.

    + Terminate wires.

    + Understand and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematic drawings.

    + Assist high-level electricians as needed.

    + Use and maintain tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, socket sets, pliers, and channel locks.

    + Adhere to safety protocols and wear steel-toed boots.

    + Work in both cold and hot environments.

    + Lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks.

    + Remain on your feet for 8 to 12 hours a day.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-3 years of basic electrical experience for entry-level positions.

    + 3-6 years of proficiency in industrial electrical systems for mid-level positions.

    + 7-15 years of extensive experience in industrial electrical systems for high-level positions.

    + Proficiency in E-house assembly, MCC, and control skid assembly.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

    + Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

    + Strong leadership and mentoring skills for high-level positions.

    + Experience managing teams of 5 to 10 members for high-level positions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with E-houses or MCC is preferred.

    + Independence and minimal supervision required at mid and high levels.

    + Knowledge of cable termination, including 15KV (TJB), Cold shrink (3M), and 480V control cables.

    + Familiarity with hand tools, including drills and torque wrenches.

    Work Environment

     

    Most of the shop is air-conditioned, but there are non-climate-controlled areas where you must be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The typical shift is from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible extensions to 6:30 pm and occasional Saturday work.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
