    Job Title: Carpenter Laborer** **Job Description

     

    Join our team as a Carpenter Laborer with opportunities in framing, floor department, cabinet shop, drywall, and final finishing. Typical hours for the 1st shift are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility required as there is no exact finish time. Achieve daily goals and enjoy a dynamic work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Framing: Cut 2x4s to length using air nail guns to build walls. Utilize jigs for easier squaring of walls. Attach drywall to studded walls.

    + Floor Department: Frame floors with 2x6 joists, nail subfloors, and insulate flooring.

    + Drywall: Cut holes for pipes/fixtures, cut drywall to length, read tape measures, screw drywall to panels, and finish with tape and paste.

    + Cabinet Shop: Assemble and install cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms, cut and install countertops, trim cabinetry, and complete the installation process.

    + Final Finishing: Finish units after construction, including hanging blinds or drapes, installing appliances, cleaning carpets, and wiping down units.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous construction experience, including personal projects or vocational schooling.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Experience with hand tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior construction and/or carpentry experience is preferred.

    + Solid work experience and strong interview skills.

    Work Environment

    Work in a prefab manufacturing setting where buildings are constructed from the ground up, including floors, walls, interiors, and exteriors. This fast-paced and physical job involves lifting and carrying heavy items up to 50 pounds, and tasks such as cutting, drilling, sawing, and nailing. Full-time employees qualify for additional income through piece rates.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
