Technician Carpenter- Temporary position
Job Description
As a Technician Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing commercial office space room mock-ups to test for flammability. You will move materials, set up tests, and utilize hand tools such as hammers and wrenches to build walls for testing purposes. Your role will also involve labor duties, including using tape measures and levels, cleaning the work site, and performing tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Build commercial office space room mock-ups to test for flammability.
+ Move materials around and set up tests.
+ Use hand tools, hammers, and wrenches to set up and build walls for tests.
+ Screw in nails and hold walls in place.
+ Perform labor duties as assigned.
+ Use tape measures and levels.
+ Stand, lift, carry, and hold material in place.
+ Clean the work site.
+ Clean grounds, organize parts and supplies, take out trash, and clean machines.
+ Assist mechanics as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction and carpentry or welding.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
+ Comfortable working outdoors and in various conditions.
+ Capability to work overtime when required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic building and carpentry skills.
+ General labor experience.
+ Experience in engineering or maintenance technician roles is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled and involves working in various buildings on site. The dress code requires steel toe boots, work pants or jeans, and a shirt with sleeves. Employees should expect to work from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. The project duration is from December 1st to December 19th.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ELMENDORF, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $15.00/hr.
