Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are a leading polyethylene manufacturer, offering a diverse range of low and high-density polyethylene products. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and facilities. Our products are proudly made to custom specifications and are fully recyclable, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.
Responsibilities
+ Perform troubleshooting and repairs on machinery and facility equipment.
+ Collaborate with other technicians to follow a set preventative maintenance schedule.
+ Conduct reactive maintenance as necessary.
Essential Skills
+ 5 years of manufacturing experience performing electromechanical maintenance.
+ 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ 2+ years performing wiring and rewiring of machinery.
+ Experience interpreting schematics and mechanical prints.
+ Experience with extrusion machinery maintenance.

Work Environment
Work in an organized yet slightly gritty environment, with some plastic smells mitigated by effective ventilation. The work schedule is 1st Shift from 7:00am to 4:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two guaranteed breaks. Expect some fluctuation in overtime hours throughout the year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
