Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily activities of hourly employees. This role is essential in driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity within our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Daily supervision and coordination of all hourly employees.
+ Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
+ Support spare parts inventory discussions to ensure machine efficiency.
+ Collaborate with plant trades to ensure all tasks are properly documented.
+ Support the establishment of all assets and preventive maintenance tasks for proper maintenance tracking.
+ Lead role in resolving machining-related concerns and increasing machine availability.
+ Identify throughput constraints and implement root cause improvements.

+ Launch experience is a definite plus
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
+ Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
+ 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
+ Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
+ DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience
+ TQM, PPAP, and DOEs experience
+ Visual Factory Management
+ Ergonomic analysis knowledge and experience

Work Environment
This position is based in a dynamic UAW stamping/assembly plant running 3 shifts (A, B, and C crew). The facility operates with a focus on continuous improvement, proactive planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves managing unionized hourly personnel and ensuring a safe and efficient production line. Applicants must be shift flexible and willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. The initial shift is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, consisting of 8-hour shifts, with the potential for additional hours as launch dates approach.

This is a Contract position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
