    Job Title: Manual Machinist

     

    Pay: $22-$26

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled manual machinist for a second shift position to operate vertical turret lathes and horizontal mills. You will begin with training during day shifts for a few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

    Responsibilities

    + Understand drawings to determine type of material, speed rate, and feed rate to be worked.

    + Safely load designated material on mill table.

    + Determine, select, and install proper cutting tool.

    + Safely set, operate, and monitor mill in accordance with drawings.

    + Inspect final work for quality assurance.

    + Re-stamp heat numbers as required.

    + Complete job order completion report accurately.

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety of the mill and surrounding area.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in CNC and manual machining.

    + Experience with lathe and vertical turret lathe operations.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    + Skilled in using grinding equipment and machine shop tools.

    + Competence with micrometers, calipers, and manual machines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with tooling and welding is advantageous.

    + Previous work with manual mills and grinders is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing shop with inside environmental conditions including heat and loud noise. The shift hours are Monday to Friday, 3pm-11:30pm, with initial training on days (6am-3pm).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
