    Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and components of machinery and equipment. You will follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist and direct lower-level maintenance employees, advising and instructing them in proper work methods and checking adherence to instructions.

    + Determine the root cause of defects or problems using the '5 Why' technique with management assistance.

    + Perform complex testing, diagnosis, maintenance, adjustment, and revision work requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic control and operating mechanisms of equipment.

    + Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs on complex control circuitry, bearings, chains, sprockets, conveyors, motors, belts, and other moving parts or wearing surfaces of all production equipment.

    + Observe system components in operation and apply appropriate testing methods and procedures to ensure continued proper functioning.

    + Locate and rectify trouble in involved or questionable cases or in emergency situations where expert attention is required to quickly correct defects and minimize production interruption.

    + Install or alter equipment as needed or directed.

    + Report circumstances around equipment failures and recommend corrective measures.

    + Read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to locate and correct issues.

    + Operate and monitor the computer-based refrigeration system and monitoring device and Process Safety Management documentation, work order/inventory control.

    + Dismantle malfunctioning systems, test components, adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and re-assemble repaired systems.

    + Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.

    + Interpret and understand blueprints and schematics.

    + Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists. (Must have own hand tools)

    Essential Skills

    + 3-8 years of industrial maintenance experience

    + Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics

    + Proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting

    + Knowledge of PLC and packaging equipment

    + Experience in a food processing environment

    + Ability to install, repair, and diagnose issues

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with welding and schematic diagrams

    + Ability to work with machinery maintenance and production maintenance

    Work in a refrigerated environment with a multicultural team. You will be working on high-speed packaging equipment. The shift is from Sunday to Thursday, 8 pm until finish (8 to 10 hours a night).

    This is a Permanent position based out of Jessup, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
