Quality Technician $25/hr
Job Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for testing and inspecting products and processes at various stages of production to ensure food safety, legality, quality, and authenticity of all products produced.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct quality inspections of equipment, materials, and processes.
+ Perform challenges of foreign material detection equipment, where applicable.
+ Conduct quality audits throughout the facility for Housekeeping and PRP monitoring.
+ Complete analytical test method validation studies.
+ Support the facility's GMP program with coaching and monitoring compliance.
+ Responsible for analytical testing of in-process and finished product testing according to prescribed procedures and logging of data into the database.
+ Perform all duties in a safe manner, observing all EHS and laboratory safety guidelines, as well as applicable good laboratory practices.
+ Maintain legible records of all testing.
+ Maintain QC document storage and backup system.
+ Provide back-up support for other Quality Technicians as needed, including vacation and absence coverage.
+ Work flexible hours and provide after-hours support, including weekend and holiday operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled Quality Department where employees are required to wear PPE, including smocks, face/hair nets, glasses, and gloves. Employees must be open to working all shifts, as the role involves 6-8 weeks of training on each shift. The shifts are as follows: 1st shift from 7 AM to 3 PM, 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, and 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Saline, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
