Job Title: Asphalt Paving Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in asphalt paving operations to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, values safety, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

+ Operate asphalt paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and related machinery with precision and care.

+ Assist with asphalt laydown, ensuring proper depth, grade, and smoothness.

+ Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report mechanical issues promptly.

+ Work closely with the paving crew to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.

+ Follow all safety protocols, traffic control guidelines, and jobsite procedures.

+ Support general labor tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience operating equipment in asphalt paving environments.

+ Strong understanding of paving techniques, compaction, and material handling.

+ Ability to read grades, follow directions, and work effectively as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ OSHA 10 preferred, but not required.

+ Ability to get on Joint Base Charleston.

Work Environment

Work hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, in an outdoor setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
